Description

This report was prepared as part of the GIZ ACCWaM “Water Energy Food Security Nexus Mainstreaming in the MENA Region” series of studies. It provides an evidence base in support of a nexus approach and nexus mainstreaming into, and value adding to, regional and national policies and institutions in the MENA region. With that, it also promotes integrated SDG implementation and the integration of climate adaptation and mitigation. This evidence base has been developed in a participatory and iterative process with partners from all relevant sectors. Data and information have been synthesized from regional and national data bases, policies, strategies and action plans, interviews and meetings, and other forms of information exchange.
